Conservation Projects Brecknock's wildlife does not restrict itself to nature reserves, or other special and valued places, it is found throughout the wider countryside in towns, villages, houses and gardens. The Trust works to protect and enhance wildlife wherever it is found, by positively engaging with those involved in managing land or property and making decisions about land use. This is achieved by working enthusiastically with a range of partners including private landowners, Powys County Council, the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, statutory bodies and local communities. The Trust's work is based on sound science so it works in partnership with members of the public, local recorders, and the Biological Information Service for Powys and the Brecon Beacons to gather the necessary information to monitor the status, set priorities and support the case for wildlife conservation. The Trust aims to:
Achieving a better future We can only achieve a better future for wildlife by working with other like-minded organisations and individuals across the region so please work with us to achieve these ends and ensure Brecknock remains a green and pleasant land. |
