EVENT: Apple Tasting & Pick Your Own

2-4pm Come and visit this collection of rare and local apple varieties cared for by the Marcher Apple Network. Tour the orchard tasting apples and learn about these special trees. TALK: Wildlife of the Upper Tawe Valley, Welfare Hall in Ystradgynlais. 1pm. Come fungi spotting with local expert David Mitchel. Boots essential– uneven ground & mud ! Camera and/ or note book useful.

Fungi will be collected for identification purposes only. Attendees are reminded that they attend events at their own risk and wear appropriate clothing for the environment.

WALK: Guided Bat Walk. at Ystradfawr Nature Reserve, where we hope to catch a glimpse of these magnificent creatures, and hear their calls on our bat detectors too! Bring a torch and warm clothing. EVENT: AGM & Talk on Beavers in Wales.

7pm. Bishop Bevan Hall, Brecon. Formal business of the Annual General Meeting. The election and re-election of Trustees and Officers followed by : Beaver Reintroduction in Wales?!

Alicia Leow-Dyke, Welsh Beaver Project Officer for Wildlife Trusts Wales is working for the six Wildlife Trusts in Wales to investigate the reintroduction of beavers to Wales. Alicia will discuss beaver ecology and explore the history of beavers in Wales. It is a controversial subject and Alicia will try and answer all your questions !
