A gift in memory of your loved one is a wonderful way to remember them and help local wildlife survive
Traditionally we pay our respects with floral tributes. But cut flowers never last long, unlike wildflowers which can last for generations. It is becoming increasingly common for donations to charities such as the Wildlife Trust to be requested instead of flowers - to make a lasting difference to nature.
A living gift
A donation in memory of a loved one can help us to protect bluebells in local woodlands; wildflowers and butterflies in our meadows; and curlews and lapwings in wetlands across our area. This way your gift will be directed towards the long-term conservation of local nature reserves and wildlife.
You may wish to remember a loved one through a gift ‘in memoriam’ or with a collection in ‘lieu of flowers’ for Brecknock Wildlife Trust.
Gifts such as these ensure that our nature reserves and the species that depend on them continue to thrive and provide a living memorial to the person that you love.
How we will recognise your contribution
We will send an acknowledgement card to notify family and friends that you have made a donation instead of giving flowers, for example. Your loved one’s name will also be included in our membership magazine, Breconshire Naturalist.
