Tuesday 2nd
Reserves Work Party: Cae Pwll y Bo & Vicarage Meadows, Abergwesyn - survey of globeflowers and orchids. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
Saturday 6th
Rocks and Wildlife. Darren Fawr, Merthyr Tydfil. Part of European Geopark Fortnight. A 3 hour walk led by Phil Sutton, Reserves Officer, at a gentle pace looking at the wealth of wildlife that inhabits our dramatic Darren Fawr nature reserve and surrounding area along with the underlying geology that has given rise to it. Sturdy footwear and warm/waterproof clothing is required as our route will cross rough ground and some loose rocks and climbs a steady gradient up to the reserve which is very open and exposed. Meet at Merthyr Golf Course car park, Cefn-Coed-y-cymmer, grid ref: SO 030 084. Starts 10am.
Tuesday 9th
Reserves Work Party: Cae Eglwys, Sarnau - bracken control in wildflower meadow during Wales Biodiversity Week. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
Wednesday 17th
Dragons & Damsels. National Park Visitors Centre, Libanus. This is a joint event with the Brecon Beacons National Park. Search the ponds of Mynydd Illtyd Common for Dragonflies and Damselflies and learn more about these insects, whose cousins were buzzing around South Wales when the coal was formed! Starts 6pm.
Saturday 20th
Come Alive For 45. Promenade Field, Brecon. Come along to help us celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Trust, 45 years of protecting Wildlife. Pilgrims tearooms will be providing the food and Breconshire Brewery will be there with the drink - and they will even be brewing a special beer for the occasion. Cantref Farm will be there with some of their animals, there will be a professional face painter, and a bouncy castle from Brecon-based TotallyTastic. We will have educational stands, including a hands-on "bugs" tank, and educational games for all ages. There will also be the opportunity to try your hand at driving a pony-led saddle chariot, while local farmers' market stall holders will have some of their best produce on offer. 11am to 4pm

Reserves Work Party: Wern Plemys, Ystradgynlais - bracken control in wildflower meadows. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
JULY
Thursday 2nd
Bat Walk and Buffet. Buckland Hall, nr. Bwlch. Come along for some fantastic food followed by a walk around the grounds of Buckland Hall for an opportunity to see the varied Bat species that roost in and around Buckland. This is an ideal family / social event. Booking is essential. Tickets: adults £10, children £5 and includes hot buffet and bat walk around the grounds. Starts 7pm.

Reserves Work Party: Cae Eglwys, Sarnau - summer volunteer BBQ and bracken control in wildflower meadow. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
AUGUST
Saturday 1st
Flora and Fauna Guided Walk. Llangorse Lake & Llangasty Meadows. A chance to discover the flora and fauna that surrounds Llangorse Lake. This walk will be led by several experts to provide advice and knowledge on the species that live in this beautiful part of the county. Meet on the Llangorse side, in the car park (next to the toilet block), SO 128 272. Start 10.30am.
Saturday 15th
Reserves Work Party: Postponed to 25th.
Wednesday 19th
Forest Skills. Ty Mawr Farm, opposite Llangasty Hall. Learn to make fires in all weathers, build camps and shelters and help us cook a steaming stew. Watch members £2.50, others £3.50. Includes vegetable stew and rolls, hot chocolate and biscuits. 10.30am to 3pm.
