Royal Welsh Show: Llanelwedd. Come and join us at our Marine themed stand, in the Countryside Care area. There'll be lots to see and do including, Punch and Judy and a chance to learn about the amazing and diverse sea life to be found in our beautiful country.

Reserves Work Party: Drostre Wood, near Llanywern - Preparing site for educational use. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
AUGUST
Wednesday 4th
Bat Walk along the Canal: Brynich, Brecon. Joint Bat walk with Brecknock Bat group and BBNP. Meet at Brynich Lock for a walk along the towpath, onto the aquaduct, Parking at the ends of Brynich bridge. Leaders Phil Morgan, Rachel Price, Richard Poole. Numbers limited to 35, bookings to be taken by BBNP (01874) 624437. 8:30pm - 10:00pm.
Tuesday 10th
Reserves Work Party: Cae Eglwys, Sarnau - Bracken control to benefit wildflowers and annual work party BBQ. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
Thursday 12th - Friday 13th
Wild Camp: near Brecon. An exciting overnighter for intrepid 9-12 year olds in one of our woodland reserves. Shelter building, camp cooking, live mammal and moth trapping, bat walk, team trails, woodcarving and tool use. Cost (includes 2 meals) £15 Watch members, £20 others. Please contact us for an information pack and application forms. Places strictly limited so early booking advised. Runs from 10.30am on 12th - 11.30am on 13th.
Wednesday 18th
Forest Skills: Ty Mawr, Llangasty. A Family event- Camp craft, trails and games for everyone at beautiful Ty Mawr Farm, Llangasty. Learn to make Bannock and enjoy lunch around the fire. (We promise that the baked potatoes will be edible this year!). Price including lunch (soup, veggie burgers, baked potatoes, etc), hot chocolate, drinks and biscuits for Watch members £5, non Watch and adults having lunch £6.50, others £3. Family discount. Friday 17th
Quiz Night: Clarence Hall, Crickhowell. We’re hosting another fundraising pub quiz night for individuals or teams of up to 6 people. To book a team please contact the Trust Office or join us on the night. Entry Fee: £2 per person. Starts at 7.30pm.

Reserves Work Party: The Byddwn & Pen y Waun, near Llanywern - Hay cut and rake of wildflower meadows. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
OCTOBER
Saturday 2nd
Annual Really Wild Ceilidh: Langors Village Hall. Join us for one of our most popular fundraising events. We are hosting another Ceilidh with local band stray away. Bring a picnic and dance the night away, with a break mid way through the evening to snack on your brought goodies. Bar available. Ticket Price TBC. Starts at 7.30pm.
Sunday 3rd
Fungal Foray: Priory Woods, Brecon. A chance to discover and identify a variety of fungi with leader David Mitchell on a genlte stroll through the woods. Starts from Brecon Cathedral (SO 044 290) at 2.00pm. Please do not use the Cathedral car park, but one of the ones in the Town Centre.

Saturday 6th
Annual General Meeting and Guided Walk along River Usk: Subud Centre, Brecon. Join us for lunch at 12:30pm, followed by the Trust AGM from 1.45pm 2:30pm. Hear from the staff about what work the Trust has undertaken in the last 12 months. Followed by a walk along the banks of the River Usk and then back to the Subud for a glass of Mulled Wine. Starts at 12.30pm.
Wednesday 10th
Fascinating Dormice: Talgarth Town Hall, Talgarth. Phil Morgan an expert on the ecology of the Hazel dormouse will give a lecture on this enigmatic species that may be more common than we think! Starts at 7.30pm.

Reserves Work Party: Drostre Wood, near Llanywern - Woodland coppicing. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
Tuesday 23rd
Reserves Work Party: Wern Plemys, Ystradgynlais - Pond creation. There is nothing like practical experience to learn how to create a wildlife pond. Come prepared to get muddy and burn some calories helping to dig a small wildlife pond to help diversify this site. 10.15am - 3.30pm.
