Ancient Tree Hunt, Brecon 1:00-3:00pm
Come and Learn how to record ancient and veteran trees and take part in a survey of the trees of Bron y Crug and Maes y Ffynnon near the turning circle and entrance to Maen Du Well. Grid Ref: SO:039295

Make Handy Homes for our birds, bats and insects. Watch: £2.50, others £3.50. There will be a small charge for boxes going home.

Walk on the Wild Side, 9:30am - 1:30pm, Cric Centre.
Crickhowell walking festival.
An easy paced cicular family walk - farm fields, hedges and woodland, stream and river. We'll look for signs of spring, budding trees, birdsong and early flowers. Wear Warm Clothes and bring binoculars. No dogs please. (Approx 4 miles)

We are hosting another quiz night at Brecon Rugby Club. Teams of up to 6 people can enter. To register your interest or to book a team please contact the Trust Office or just come along on the night. Entry Fee: £2.00 per person

Join us for Easter races, eggy fun, arts and crafts and learn about baby animals, life cycles and how birds make their nests. Watch Members: £2.50, others: £3.50, under 5's free.

A digital slide show about the bright and beautiful insects of summer, how they live and where to find them. Featuring a local speciality, the Marsh Fritillary Butterfly.

Sunday 18th
Pond Surveying Workshop, Near Brecon, 10:00am-4:00pm
Booking Essential. A joint event with Powys and BBNP Biological Information Service to help anyone interested in recording ponds or pondlife, what is most important to record and how. A chance to try out pond survey methodology and macroinvertebrate indentification and maybe some plants and amphibians. Location, near Brecon. Not Suitable for young children. Dawn Chorus Walk, followed by breakfast at Pilgrims Tearooms, Brecon.
Andy King will lead a Dawn Chorus walk around Priory Groves. This will be followed by breakfast at Pilgrims for those who have worked up an appetite. Booking is essential for the breakfast. Summer Celebration and Honey Bee Party, Holy Bush campsite, 11:00am-4:00pm
Come and join us at the Holly Bush Campsite on the B4350 between Glasbury and Hay on Wye for this lovely family event. Learn about the plight of the Honey Bee and what you can do to help. See a demonstration Hive and have the opportunity to buy some nectar rich plants, honey related products and some yummy homemade cakes. There will be lots of games for children and in the afternoon there will be a colourful celebration of summer as they have the chance to take part in our Green man and May Queen play.

Earth Walk around Pwll y Wrach Nature Reserve, for Wales Biodiversity Week. 10:30am-2:30pm
Experience a light refreshing tough of the natural world using all your senses on this gentle walk with a difference along the banks of the River Ennig through ancient woodland to a tumbling waterfall. Meet at Pwll y Wrach Nature Reserve Car Park, on Hospital Road, a mile south east out of Talgarth. Parking is quite limited but there is more space to park back down the lane towards Talgarth or in Talgarth itself (1 mile walk to NR) This is a joint event with the BBNP. Grid Ref: SO:161328

Bugs in the Meadows, Vicarage Meadows, 10:30am-12:30pm
Celebrating National Insect Week and the insect life on this BWT reserve. A gentle stroll through this nationally important nature reserve looking at the wealth of creatures both beneath our feet and in the air. Meet by the bridge over the River Irfon at Abergwesyn. Ground can be wet so advisable to wear wellies. Walk is weather dependant and may be postponed if heavy rain (bugs are sensible and hideaway in the rain!).
